CAIRO – 7 September 2023: Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said on Thursday, that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attaches great importance to implementing a comprehensive medical city for the General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes (GOTHI) in accordance with relevant international standards.
Abdel Ghaffar made the remarks during a symposium held Thursday as part of the Global Congress on Population, Health and Development 2023 (PHDC’23), currently held in the New Administrative Capital under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
PHDC’23 runs on September 5-8.
The symposium, titled "Role of General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes in confronting challenges", was attended by former and current officials of GOTHI in addition to a number of doctors of various subspecialties.
The health minister praised the efforts and achievements made by GOTHI’s health teams, stressing that they have greatly contributed to improving the quality of medical care services.
