CAIRO – 2 September 2023: The Egyptian businessman and former Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, whose son Dodi was killed in a car accident with late Princess Diana of Wales in 1997, passed away at the age of 94 in London, on August 30.

He was born in Alexandria in 1929 and was selling fizzy drinks there. Married Saudi Samira Khashoggi, the sister of Saudi millionaire arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi. He then was employed at her brother’s company and that helped a lot to enter the world of the businessmen but the marriage did not last more than two years, BBC reported. Later, he owned his own company and then bought Ritz hotel in Paris and then the Harrods and the Fulham Football Club, which is owned by Qatar right now. He also founded Al Fayed Charitable Foundation in 1987 to help the poor.

He was skeptical about the death of his son and claimed that the death was order by Prince Philip in cooperation with MI6, the British Secret Intelligence Service.

“On behalf of everyone at Fulham Football Club, I send my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mohamed Al Fayed upon the news of his passing at age 94.
