CAIRO – 14 August 2023: Jordan’s King Abdullah II will arrive in Alamein city on Monday to attend the Egyptian-Jordanian-Palestinian trilateral summit, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will receive King Abdullah II at El-Alamein International Airport.

The trilateral summit between Sisi, King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be held on Monday in New Alemein to discuss the developments of the Palestinian cause.

The summit comes amid growing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian lands, which has claimed the lives of more than 200 Palestinians, according to an AFP tally.

The three leaders held a summit in January, where they emphasized the need to preserve the legitimate Palestinian rights and the continuation of their joint efforts to achieve comprehensive, just and permanent peace based on the two-state solution.

They also emphasized their full support for the efforts of Abbas during this critical circumstance that the Palestinian cause is going through and amidst mounting regional and international challenges.

The leaders called for the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights and urged halting illegal unilateral Israeli measures that undermine the two-state solution and opportunities of achieving just and comprehensive peace.
