Egypt, Serbia agree on military production cooperation

CAIRO - 8 August 2023: Minister of Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa received Serbian Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević agreed Tuesday on exchanging visits of Egyptian and Serbian technical delegations to find feasible areas of cooperation. 

The meeting in Cairo aimed to discuss means to enhance cooperation in joint manufacturing. For that purpose, the industrial capacities and experience of military production companies were reviewed, including the main role of producing ammunition, weapons and equipment.

Cooperation with similar Serbian companies was discussed, as well as the localization of modern technology. An invitation was extended participate in the Defense and Military Industries Exhibition "EDEX 2023".

For his part, Vučević and his 14-member delegation are paying the visit to Egypt for its pivotal role in the region as well as the 115 years of Egyptian-Serbian ties.

Vučević emphasized the economic and industrial momentum in Egypt and Serbian companies’ keenness to cooperate with Egypt as it embarks on mega projects and taps its great human capital.
