CAIRO – 31 July 2023: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted the Egyptian State with its different bodies and institutions is sparing no effort to support Egyptians living abroad and solve any problems they are facing abroad or at home.
The premier also added that efforts are focused on helping the Egyptian expats get acquainted with development efforts and achievements made by the Egyptian State to build the New Republic.
Madbouli's virtual remarks were made at the opening session of the fourth edition of the "Egyptians Abroad" Conference, which kicked off on Monday.
It is held under the auspices of Madbouli, with the participation of nearly 1,000 Egyptians living in á FB 56 countries.
Madbouli welcomed Egyptian nationals abroad in their homeland.
He said the political leadership and the Egyptian government are always keen to reiterate that Egyptians abroad are a fundamental part of the society fabric, given they are always supporting the Egyptian State.
He pointed out the Egyptian State is very interested in benefiting from the Egyptian experts and scholars abroad to participate in different development aspects in the country and contribute to carrying out national projects in the various sectors nationwide.
Soha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, said that this edition is the largest in number of attendees compared to all the previous three editions of the conference, which reflects the ministry’s efforts reaching them in all countries of the world.
She added that the conference is an opportunity to review the requests and needs of the Egyptians abroad, and listen to their suggestions, stressing the keenness to accommodate the largest number of those who registered in line with the capacity of the conference halls.
The minister indicated that the conference will be held with the participation of representatives of the concerned ministries and state institutions, to respond to the inquiries and suggestions of the participants from Egyptians abroad, and work on studying and implementing them.
The Minister of Immigration said that the "Egyptians Abroad" conference, in its fourth edition, discusses a number of main axes (the economic axis - the political and educational axis - the social and service axis) via videoconferencing technology, within the framework of the "An Hour with the Minister" initiative.
