President Sisi, Italian PM agree on continuing coordination in various files of mutual concern

CAIRO – 20 July 2023:  Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Thursday a phone call from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.

In the call, Meloni hailed the deep-rooted relations between Italy and Egypt as well as Sisi’s wise leadership.

She stressed her keenness on continuing consultation and coordination in all files of mutual concern as well as discussing the latest regional and international development. She also called for fostering means of cooperation in various fields.

Sisi said that Egypt is keen on boosting strategic cooperation with Italy in various domains as well as continuing consultation and coordination in various political, security, military and economic files of mutual concern in order to preserve security and stability in Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa regions.
