President Sisi directs maximization of Egyptian seaports' activity

CAIRO – 20 July 2023: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi president directed the maximization of Egyptian seaports' activity on the regional and international levels by applying international standards and achieving record numbers in terms of charging and discharging.

The directives, which took place Thursday in a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Transport Kamel al-Wazir, equally included enhancing the ranking of Egyptian ports in the sectors of logistics and trade.

The meeting's purpose was to learn about the progress rate of the implementation of the high-speed electric train. The minister also displayed the executive status of the renovation of seaports, particularly the cooperation with CMA CGM on the operation of Tahya Misr Multipurpose Station recently inaugurated in the Port of Alexandria.
