2 killed, 3 injured as building in Alexandria partially collapses

CAIRO – 15 July 2023: Two people have been killed and three others were injured as a building in Bakos neighborhood in northern Egypt’s Alexandria partially collapsed on Saturday.

Officials of the neighborhood and civil protection forces rushed to the scene of the old three-story building and the injured were moved to the hospital to receive treatment.

Over the past weeks, Alexandria saw similar tragic incidents, including the collapse of a 13-story building in Alexandria’s Sidi Bishr area last month, causing 10 people to die.

Also, three people reportedly killed and one was injured as an old building in Gomrok district in Alexandria collapsed earlier in July.
