CAIRO – 11 July 2023: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Eissa met Monday with Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt Fawzeya Bint Abdullah Zeinal to discuss bolstering cooperation in the sector, and recovering smuggled artifacts.
Egypt and Bahrain agreed on holding workshops to identify mechanisms for exchanging experience in the fields of tourism, hospitality, archeological excavations, restoration, and museology.
That is in addition to sharing the Egyptian experience on collaborating with the private sector to enhance the tourists' experience at archeological sites. The workshops will also include talks on cooperating to create tourism products that would appeal to the peoples of both countries, such as transit tourism.
