Egyptian David J. Labib appointed as Judge of Superior Court in New Jersey

CAIRO – 6 July 2023: Egyptian David J. Labib has been appointed as a Judge of the Superior Court in the US state of New Jersey, becoming the first Egyptian who assumes this position.

Egyptian Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Suha Gendy extended her congratulations to Egyptian Judge David Labib, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian ministry.

Gendy praised the successes of Egyptians abroad, saying “Each success of our children abroad is an added credit to Egypt's soft powers.”

Labib graduated from the Cardozo School of Law in 2007, and practiced law for more than 16 years.
