CAIRO – 6 July 2023: Egypt’s newly-launched “100 Healthy Days” healthcare campaign that targets 105 million people nationwide has provided over 3.6 million services since it kicked off on 25 June until Tuesday.
Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar mentioned the figures in a meeting on Wednesday to follow up on the achievements made under the campaign.
Abdel Ghaffar highlighted the need to intensify awareness about the goals of the campaign, affirming its importance in boosting comprehensive health awareness among Egyptian family members.
Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and the health minister launched the campaign on 25 January, which aims to intensify the objectives of the national healthcare initiatives under the broader “100 Million Seha” presidential campaign.
The campaign uses mobile clinics and health centers nationwide to provide early detection and free treatment services for citizens and foreigners residing in Egypt with regard to chronic diseases and cancer.
This includes early detection of hearing impairment and genetic disorders in newborns, Hepatitis C, renal failure and carcinomas.
The campaign runs every day from 9 AM to 9 PM with trained medical cadres serving citizens. The services are provided for free.
