CAIRO - 6 July 2023: Amiriya Press Egypt’s most prominent printing press, produced its first wave of photocopy paper, branded Tahya Misr, after the price of imported paper soared painfully after the devaluation of the pound.
According to a Wednesday report by the Ministry of Commerce, the paper feeds photocopiers and laser printers.
The report said Amiriya Press has been provided with Braille printing machines for the visually-impaired with a tape feed (Roll Feed) to print large quantities. Amiriya Press is also now able to print with special inks (magnetic inks, thermal inks, and UV ink).
The volume of investments allocated to replacement and renovation operations to maintain the Amiriya Press’ production capacity amounted to L.E.47 million, the report added.
