President Sisi, Chancellor Scholz discuss enhancing relations between Egypt, Germany

CAIRO- 4 July 2023: President Abdel Fattah al Sisi received on Tuesday a phone call from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Spokesman for the Presidency Counselor Ahmed Fahmy said the call focused on ways to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Germany in all fields.

President Sisi and Chancellor Scholz expressed satisfaction with the level that joint cooperation has reached and expressed keenness to continue deepening cooperation frameworks, especially at the economic and trade levels, as well as matters related to technology transfer and joint manufacturing, in light of the mega projects being implemented in Egypt, in which German companies are participating.

The call also reviewed developments pertinent to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

There was agreement to continue intensive consultation and coordination between the two sides in the coming period.
