CAIRO - 4 July 2023: Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Amr El-Hammami as its ambassador to Ankara, while Turkey has appointed Salah Moutlaş Şen as its ambassador to Cairo, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

Egypt and Turkey have announced the elevation of their diplomatic relations to the ambassadorial level.

 

This move comes as part of the implementation of a joint decision by the two countries' leaders in this regard.

 

The aim of this step is to establish normalized relations between the two countries again, reflecting their mutual determination to work towards enhancing their bilateral relations for the benefit of the Egyptian and Turkish peoples.
