Egypt’s Air Defense Forces celebrates 53rd anniversary

CAIRO – 26 June 2023: The Egyptian Air Defense Forces (EADF) celebrated, on Monday its 53rd Anniversary, which marked building a missile defense wall to protect the country's airspace on June 30 in 1970.

On the occasion, EADF chief Mohamed Hegazy held a press conference in which he appreciated the role of the air defense forces and their sacrifices to preserve the homeland.

He added the EADF continued development and modernization to increase combat skills and successfully carry out tasks entrusted to its men.

EADF is the Anti-aircraft warfare branch of the Egyptian Armed Forces. It is responsible for protecting the Egyptian airspace against any hostile air attacks.
