Arab nations' demands to Qatar to increase: Saudi official

CAIRO – 18 July 2017: Saud Al-Qahtani, advisor in the Saudi Royal Diwan, said that Qatar should review the 13 demands sent by the four Arab nations boycotting Qatar over allegations of supporting terrorism, warning that these demands could be increased, especially after Qatar's malevolent intent was exposed globally.

By a series of tweets posted on his official twitter account, Qahtani asked Qatar to rectify its hostile policy that has been adopted since former Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani had plotted a coup against his father in 1995.

The false claims made by Qatar over hacks committed against the Qatari News Agency (QNA), which resulted in publishing a fake story quoting the ruling emir making controversial comments, were not the main cause behind the Gulf-Qatari crisis, Qahtani alleged.

He gave assurance that former Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa and Premier Hamad bin Jasem, who are cooperating together under a group named Hamadeen, would not survive as usual from the crisis on some pretexts.

Qahtani claimed that these pretexts pushed Arab nations to hurry up in blocking Qatari authorities, as well as that Qatar's attempt to get sympathy from countries supporting anti-terrorism by claiming that QNA had been hacked would not work as long as the Hamadeen regime is ruling Qatar.
