In photos: Cairo Liberal Club discusses state budget priorities, rationalizing public expenditure

CAIRO - 19 June 2023: The Liberal Club of Cairo has held a workshop under the title: "Priorities of the State's General Budget Plan and Rationalizing Public Expenditure" to discuss the draft general budget plan for the fiscal year 2023/2024.

The workshop saw rich discussions on the criteria for setting the general budget plan and spending priorities in many categories, most notably the support and grants category and the Takaful & Karama (Solidarity & Dignity) project.

Participants at the workshop also held discussions about inflation, the internal and external debts and their interests and the repayment mechanisms.

The discussions were moderated by Eng. Emad Raouf, founder of the Liberal Club of Cairo.

MPs Amira Al-Adly and Mohamed Farid, co-founders of the club, attended the workshop alongside MPs Talaat Khalil, Ahmed Fathi and Emad Khalil.

Club members Mohamed Amin, Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Mohamed Gaber and Omar Al-Masry also attended the discussions.
