CAIRO – 8 June 2023: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a technical meeting between Egypt and the European Union (EU) in the framework of the Talent Partnership initiative aimed at better managing migration by matching labor needs and skills between the union and partner countries.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Migration, Refugees and Combating Human Trafficking Nevine al-Husseiny said that the cooperation between Egypt and the EU must be founded on the principle of mutual benefit.
The diplomat stressed the necessity of building upon the projects carried out with international partners to ensure the effectiveness of vocational training programmes, and devising mechanisms of certificate accreditation.
That is coupled with creating legal pathways for the migration of skilled labor through transparent and fair means that guarantee their rights in alignment with international standards.
