Omani diplomat: Sultan Haitham's visit to Egypt helps promote bilateral ties

CAIRO - 5 June 2023: Omani Ambassador in Cairo Abdullah bin Nasser bin Musalam Al Rahbi said that the visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman to Egypt, which is the first for an Arab country outside the Gulf Cooperation Council, helped push forward bilateral relations.

Speaking at the Omani–Egyptian Press Forum, the Omani diplomat said the forum is part of celebrations to mark 50 years of establishing diplomatic ties between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman.

Al Rahbi expressed his appreciation of efforts made by the Oman Journalists Association (OJA) for organizing this forum, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo, to highlight the different vital aspects of these historical ties.

Activities of the Omani-Egyptian Press Forum kicked off earlier in the day. The forum is organized by the OJA, in cooperation with the Omani embassy to Egypt.

It is held under the auspices of Egyptian Culture Minister Nevine el-Kilani.
