Egyptian FM receives phone call from Slovenian counterpart

CAIRO – 1 June 2023: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry received Thursday a phone call from Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon as they discussed the framework of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sector.

The Slovenian minister was eager for learning about her Egyptian counterpart's assessment of the current major developments on the Arab and African scales, particularly in Sudan, Libya, and Palestine, the press statement indicated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs marked on May 2, 2022 - in a press statement - 30 years of diplomatic relations with Slovenia. "Such fruitful cooperation has led to many achievements on the political and economic levels," the Foreign Ministry said in the statement.
 

Egypt is keen on continuing cooperation with Slovenia on issues of mutual concern, the ministry noted.
