Significant rise in temperature Thursday, Cairo records highs of 40°C

CAIRO - 1 June 2023: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects that Thursday will witness a significant rise in temperature degrees, where a very hot weather to prevail during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower egypt and the northwestern coasts. 

 

Other parts will be affected by the rise in temperature during the day including: South Sinai, and southern Upper Egypt, while a moderate temperature will be felt at night in all parts. 

 

Sand and dust activity is also expected in most parts of the republic with chances of light rain, which may be thundery at times, on Lower Egypt, the northwestern coasts, and the Western Desert, while  chances for light rain in Greater Cairo is weak.

Cairo sees highs of 40 degrees and lows of 27

 

Alexandria sees highs of 37 and lows of 25

 

Matrouh sees highs of 32 degrees and lows of 23

 

Sohag sees highs of 41 degrees and lows of 26

 

Qena sees highs of 42 degrees and lows of 27

 

Aswan sees highs of 43 degrees and lows of 28
