CAIRO – 31 May 2023: Egyptian Ambassador to Juba Moataz Mostafa Abdel Qader met Tuesday with South Sudanese Vice-President for Infrastructure Cluster Taban Deng Gai to discuss the updates of projects executed by Egypt in the country.
The projects are in the sectors of irrigation, water resources, and flood control. In addition, a company affiliated to the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy is overhauling a power plant in each of Yambio and Rumbek. Those are implemented in collaboration with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development.
The South Sudanese vice-president commended the efforts deployed by Egypt to support the South Sudanese people, and enhance their living and humanitarian conditions. That is particularly through developing the infrastructure, such as the sectors of irrigation, water resources, electricity, and energy.
