CAIRO - 30 May 2023: Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit called on Tuesday for unifying all initiatives to assist the Sudanese people who have fled to Egypt.
Aboul Gheit met with the leaders of an initiative called Nabd al-Arab (the Arab pulse), where they explained it supports the displaced Sudanese families affected in Egypt.
Affected by the war in Sudan, they need urgent aid and relief. The initiative founders, judge Adly Hussein and ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali, as well as a group of Sudanese people residing in Egypt reviewed some of the efforts exerted by Egyptian health institutions, federations, and civil society organizations to provide medical and health supplies for the afflicted Sudanese people.
The Secretary-General praised the efforts of the initiative, giving ideas that allow for the continuity of all efforts and initiatives that seek a decent life for the people of Sudan during this difficult time.
