CAIRO - 18 July 2017: Daba'a Advanced Technical School for Nuclear Applications will open soon in Marsa Matrouh.

Work is in full swing to finalize the construction works and furnish the school with educational equipment and tools in preparation for the first batch of students at the beginning of the new school year.

In the presence of undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Matrouh, the Ministry of Education announced the specialized openings required for the administrative structure of the school.

Teaching staff, technicians and administrators, were among the announced vacancies and applications are to be presented to the Technical Education Sector (General Department of Industrial Education).

According to a previous announcement of the ministry, Directorate of Education in Matrouh began to receive students' applications to enroll in the advanced technical school for nuclear applications over the past days. Admission was open from July 2 - 15 at the Directorate of Education in Marsa Matrouh.

The number of students applying for school is up to 1870 students. It is expected that only 75 of them will be selected according to the requirements set by the General Administration of Industrial Technical Education at the Ministry of Education. Accepted applicants must obtain a total score of 220 for Matrouh students and 250 for other governorates.

Egypt and Russia reached an intergovernmental agreement on November 19, 2015 that granted the construction of Dabaa nuclear power plant using Russian technologies and backed by a $25 billion loan from Russia.
