Ambassador Hong first expressed his gratitude toward the Speaker of the Senate for the Egyptian parliament's support during his three-year tenure.

According to him, the high-level exchanges, such as the visit of South Korea’s National Assembly speaker in October 2021, the visit of the Korean president in January 2022, and the phone call between the two presidents in September 2022, could not be done successfully without help from the Egyptian parliament, which represents the whole Egyptian people.

Ambassador Hong insisted on the need for sustainable bilateral relations, which could be achieved through the continuation of people-to-people exchange.

For his part, Speaker Abdel-Razek emphasized that Ambassador Hong made a relentless effort to bring the level of cooperation between the two countries to the highest level.

Speaker Abdel-Razek promised to do his part in continuing such cooperation and to work closely with the successor of Ambassador Hong on related matters including the exchange of visits of the parliamentary delegations from our two countries.
