CAIRO – 18 May 2023: Member of the Coordination Committee of Parties' Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP), Hind Abdel Ghaffar, warned during the session of the National dialogue on Thursday against the drift of youth behind Western cultures and the weakness of the oversight and educational role of the Egyptian family.
In her speech, she noted that the new global system is working on erasing the national identity of young people, and stressed that there is a generation of young people who are no longer proud of their identity.
“We must work on the new generations of young people, and re-introduce them to the Egyptian identity” Abdel Ghaffar said.
The first discussion sessions of the societal axis of the National Dialogue kicked off Thursday, with the presence of various currents and political prominent figures as they discussed several of issues including guardianship over minors' money and property along with restoring the Egyptian identity.
During the session, several suggestions were heard including amending laws and establishing legal body affiliated with the cabinet to supervise minors' money.
Nisreen Al-Baghdadi, Rapporteur of the Family and Community Cohesion Committee in the National Dialogue she stressed the importance of ‘the Family’ and its fundamental role in the society.
She indicated during her speech that the constitution, in article 10, affirmed that the family is the basis of society, pointing to the state's keenness on its cohesion and consolidation of its values.
