EgyptAir’s US-bound flight lands in Italy as passenger suffered medical emergency

CAIRO – 18 May 2023: EgyptAir’s Washington-bound flight MS 981 changed path and landed in Italy’s Milano to save the life of a passenger who suffered a medical emergency.

The female passenger, Heba, suffered a sudden health issue while on board the plane with her three children, a press release said.

The crew gave Heba first aid and EgyptAir captain Mohamed Gharib decided to land in Milan Malpensa Airport to save Heba’s life

Fortunately, two doctors, Mohamed and Patricia, were on board the plane and followed up on the injured passenger’s health condition until the plane landed.

Heba was safely disembarked for treatment and the plane resumed its flight to Washington.
