A global umbrella comprises 200 universities in the Islamic countries

With the endorsement of the attendance of the leaders of the member universities, the General Conference of the League of Islamic Universities, in its 12th  session, unanimously renewed its confidence in His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, as President of the League of Islamic Universities.

The conference also blessed the issuance of the league's statute.

The conferees adopted the issuance of an educational guide for Islamic curricula on all academic levels, and the issuance of another guide for intellectual fortification, as well as an encyclopedia of Islamic values.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, from Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced the launch of the events of the 12th  general conference of the League of Islamic Universities, in the presence of their Excellencies; the responsible leaders of a number of member universities.

At the inauguration of the conference, Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, in the vastness of the Birthplace of Revelation and the Cradle of the Final Message in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, referring to the topics and issues on the agenda of the conference, which are among the tasks entrusted to the League of Universities.

Sheikh Al-Issa explained that the League of Universities is the most important and strongest academic focal point in the Islamic countries, pointing out that the League of Universities assumes qualitative global responsibilities in a new horizon. He stressed that the new system of the League allows it to expand its tasks and activities around the world, appreciating the desire of large universities to join the membership of the League, as well as the desire of other friendly universities to get the description of "Supporting Members".

It was announced that the participants in the scientific committees recommended that the League of Islamic Universities is to issue an educational guide for Islamic curricula on all academic levels, a guide for intellectual fortification, as well as an encyclopedia of Islamic values.

After the leaders of the league, consecutively, delivered speeches, the General Conference announced the decisions of the President of the League of Islamic Universities, which stipulate appointment to leadership positions in the league, for each of the following:

His Excellency Prof. Sami Muhammad Rabih Al-Sharif; Secretary General of the league.

His Eminence Dr. Mohammed Al-Hamaili Bashairi; Vice President for Education Development.

His Eminence Prof. Dr.Salama Jumaa Daoud; Vice President for Scientific Research.

His Excellency Prof. Nabil Muhammad Tawfiq Al-Samalouti; Assistant Secretary General for Academic Affairs.

His Excellency Prof. Nourhan Al-Sayed Al-Sheikh; Assistant Secretary General for External Relations.

 

 

 

 

The General Conference blessed what His Excellency; the President had decided, and asked Allah the Almighty for success for all of them.
