National Dialogue hopes more prisoners will be pardoned by Sisi soon

CAIRO - 15 May 2023: The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue looks forward to more presidential pardons in the coming period, said Diaa Rashwan, General Coordinator of the National Dialogue, on Sunday.

Rashwan added that the initiative is committed to its pledges in intensifying legal efforts in cooperation with the Presidential Pardon Committee and  the Public Prosecution to release a number of people detained pending trial as soon as possible.

He emphasized appreciation to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for pardoning hundreds of prisoners and for launching the National Dialogue initiative. The coordinator said the initiative will continue to create a positive atmosphere in the dialogue to arrive at the aspirations of the Egyptian people.
