1st line of Egypt's speed electric train to operate in 2024

CAIRO - 15 May 2023: Egypt is currently implementing the speed electric train network, which consists of 4 lines covering all parts of the country.

 

The total length of 2,250 km, and the first line is scheduled to operate in 2024.

 

In the following points, we display the details of the second line of the express electric train

 

The second line of the high-speed train connects a large number of governorates

 

It is the longest line among the three lines being implemented

 

It serves the governorates of Upper Egypt, from October / Luxor / Aswan / Abu Simbel

Its length is 1400 km.

 

It has two trains, "express train - regional train"

 

Line 2 of the high-speed train includes 36 stations (9 express + 27 regional).
