CAIRO - 19 April 2023: Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, stated that the ministry is fully prepared for the blessed Eid Al-Fitr in terms of preventive preparations.
He explained that the ministry has sent inspection campaigns to food providers in addition to public places to prevent the spread of insects.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar added, during a phone call to the “Ninth” program presented by the journalist Youssef Al-Husseini on the Egyptian Channel One, that the ministry has maintained medical insurance at the level of hospitals and the availability of medicines, supplies and blood bags, and at the road level also by providing ambulance vehicles from outside Cairo to inside Cairo and vice versa.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar explained that the most emergency increase in road accidents, especially travel routes to the Delta governorates, tourist and coastal places, and gatherings that result in a kind of fatigue, and we have more readiness, whether in medical teams or medical supplies, and the different rates of deployment of ambulances and their stationing at close distances.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar confirmed that Corona is still present, advising citizens to maintain good ventilation, wear a mask, obtain the vaccine, be careful to eat salted fish and sweets during the Eid celebrations, take a balanced diet, make sure of the places that sell food items, and adhere to the directives of the Meteorological Authority.
