Egyptian, Saudi FMs confer over Sudan crisis

CAIRO – 17 April 2023: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry made Monday a phone call to his Saudi counterpart, His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, to discuss the developments of the crisis in Sudan.   

The call was intended to hold consultations and exchange evaluations of the situation, and to stipulate the necessity of deploying all efforts to preserve the stability and safety of the neighboring state.

Minister Shokry stressed that the Egyptian messages to the two Sudanese warring parties assert the salience of embracing wisdom by agreeing on a ceasefire, agreeing with his Saudi counterpart to maintain coordination in the coming days.
