CAIRO – 12 April 2023: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Wednesday with President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan at Al-Ittihadiya Palace, where the ceremonial welcome was held, the guard of honor was reviewed and national anthem was played.
Spokesperson for the Presidency, Ahmed Fahmy, stated that President Sisi welcomed his brother and dear guest of Egypt, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The President affirmed Egypt's pride in the relations between the two fraternal countries and their close historical ties.
President of the UAE expressed his country's appreciation to Egypt, its people and its leadership, and the UAE’s keenness to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries.
The two Presidents discussed ways to develop joint cooperation in all areas for the interest of the two peoples. They also discussed coordination toward various regional developments, in light of the fact that the Egyptian-UAE cooperation and coordination are pillars for consolidating security, stability and development in the region.
The meeting also exchanged views on the most prominent files on the regional and international arenas, where the discussions reflected a mutual understanding on ways to deal with those issues.
In the same vein, it was agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen cooperation, coordination and solidarity among the Arab States in order to meet the growing challenges at all levels.
