President Sisi receives his Emirati counterpart at Cairo International Airport

CAIRO – 12 April 2023: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Wednesday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Cairo international airport upon his arrival in an official visit.

An official reception ceremony was held for the UAE President, at Al-Ittihadiya Palace, as national anthems of the two countries were played.

President Sisi visited the United Arab Emirates, last Febuary leading a high-level government delegation to participate in The World Government Summit.

The summit was regularly held every year since 2013 in Dubai, under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

Spokesperson for the Presidency, Ahmed Fahmy, said the President’s participation in The World Government Summit came with Egypt being the guest of honor at this year's edition.

Earlier in April, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi visited Jeddah and met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as they discussed relations between the two countries.

According to Presidency Spokesperson, the two leaders lauded the remarkable, solid and historical relations between the two countries across all levels.
