Egypt’s Sisi sends Qatar’s Tamim written message

CAIRO - 6 April 2023: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent a written message to Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Qatari news agency QNA  reported on Wednesday.

The message was delivered by Egyptian Ambassador to Qatar Amr Kamal el-Din to Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Hammadi, secretary general of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"President Sisi's message focused on the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them," the news agency added.

On March 22, 2023 President Sisi spoke with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and extended his greetings to him on the occasion of the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow his blessings upon Qatar and the entire Islamic nation.

Qatar's Emir expressed his sincere gratitude for this fraternal gesture, wishing Egypt's government and people lasting stability and progress, according to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency.

In June 2022, President Sisi paid Qatar a two-day visit, during which he discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
