CAIRO – 4 April 2023: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has lauded the deeply-rooted historical relations between Egypt and China.
The premier made his remarks at a meeting held Tuesday with Chinese Culture and Tourism Minister Hu Heping and his accompanying delegation in the presence of a host of respective officials from both sides, including Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Eisa, Culture Minister Nevine El Kilany and Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang.
Madbouli stressed that Egypt is keen to strengthen its strategic partnership with China at all levels, lauding the promotion of bilateral relations over the past years.
The prime minister congratulated the Chinese side on the reelection of the president of China for a third term, voicing hope that both countries can further strengthen their bonds and cement tourism and cultural cooperation in the coming period.
For his part, the Chinese minister praised the strong ties between the two nations, noting that Egypt is listed among the top 20 best destinations for Chinese tourists.
The minister also lauded the operation of further direct flights between Egyptian and Chinese cities to enhance cooperation in the domains of culture and tourism.
