CAIRO – 4 April 2023: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met Tuesday President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Akinwumi Adesina, affirming Egypt's aspiration to expand cooperation with the entity in various fields in the coming period.
President Sisi expressed appreciation for the bank's role in supporting developmental sectors on the continent, especially, in light of the growing economic challenges on all levels.
On his side, the AfDB president commended the Egyptian developmental experience, saying it is a source of inspiration to African peoples. He added that the government and people of Egypt showed a great ability to achieve a quick growth as well as many major accomplishments.
Adesina, precisely, expressed admiration of projects in the sectors of electricity, water treatment and recycling, and development of slum areas.
