Egypt invites Speaker of Algerian Council of Nation to visit Cairo

CAIRO – 4 April 2023: Egypt's Ambassador to Algeria Mokhtar Warida delivered Tuesday an invitation from Speaker of the Egyptian Senate Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq to Speaker of the Algerian Council of the Nation Saleh Goudjil to visit Cairo.

Speaker Goudjil welcomed the invitation, whose date will be arranged through diplomatic channels. He also displayed the pillars of Algerian foreign policy, noting the centrality of the Palestinian Cause, and the salience of unifying the Palestinian people so it would be empowered to establish its independent state.

The Algerian Speaker equally stressed establishing a new concept of non-alignment in light of the challenges currently facing member states of the Non-Alligned movement, their national security, and stability in a turbulent and unbalanced world.

In turn, Ambassador Warida expressed Egypt's readiness to deepen bilateral ties through a strategic political dialogue, and develop them to the level of the strategic partnership. He further underlined the two countries' keenness on continuing joint work and coordination over various regional and international affairs, with the aim of countering threats to Arab nations.
