CAIRO – 23 March 2023: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke with leaders of Iraq, Bahrain and Oman, on Thursday, to greet them on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The president received a phone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani who wished Egypt and its people lasting progress and prosperity, according to Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy in a statement.
Prime Minister Sudani praised the close and historic fraternal ties between Egypt and Iraq, stressing Iraq's keenness to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and expressed his appreciation for Egypt's efforts to support Iraqi affairs at all levels and its vital role in strengthening the mechanisms of joint Arab action in the face of current crises and challenges in the region.
President Sisi expressed his sincere gratitude for this fraternal gesture, wishing Iraq and its brotherly people prosperity, affirming Egypt’s unwavering support for the security and stability of Iraq, the pride it takes in the deep and robust strategic relations between the two countries, and the mutual interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields.
During the call, views on a number of Arab and regional issues of mutual interest were exchanged, and the Egyptian-Iraqi efforts to strengthen trilateral cooperation with Jordan werw discussed.
Meanwhile, President Sisi extended his greetings to Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jabar Al-Sabah, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing Kuwait’s people and government lasting progress and prosperity, Fahmy said in another statement.
The Amir of Kuwait also expressed his sincere gratitude to President Sisi for this fraternal gesture, wishing Egypt and its people stability, progress, and prosperity.
Moreover, the president extended his greetings to Sultan of Oman Haitham Bin Tariq Bin Said. President Sisi wished Oman and its peoples progress, and prosperity.
