30 people detained pending investigation released ahead of Ramadan

CAIRO - 22 March 2023: The committee promises to release more detainees in the coming period and to reintegrate them into society in cooperation with all state agencies and institutions.

The decision comes a day before the holy month of Ramadan, where it is customary that families break their fasting together at dusk.

The committee has also released dozens of detainees, whether spending jail time or detained pending investigations, at Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, in the past few years.
