Sameh Shoukry, Turkish counterpart talk bilateral relations, issues of common interest

CAIRO - 18 March 2023: Talks began between Egyptian and Turkish delegations in Cairo, headed by Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is visiting Egypt.

 

The talks between both leaders tackled various aspects of bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern, according to what the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, announced on Twitter. 

 

Egypt's Shoukry held a closed-door bilateral meeting Saturday morning with Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu at the Foreign Ministry's headquarters in Tahrir Palace, in Cairo.

 

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu arrived Saturday at Tahrir Palace in Cairo, to hold joint talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on regional and international issues of common interets.

 

It is scheduled that both FMs will hold a press conference Saturday after their talks.
