CAIRO – 17 March 2023: Spokesperson for Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zaid, said that the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister to Egypt, on Saturday, is a the biggening of restoring the ‘normal relations’ between the two countries.
He added in statements that the talks expected between the Turkish Minster Mevlut Cavusoglu and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry will include launching an ‘in-depth dialogue’ on various aspects of bilateral relations along with regional and international issues of common concern.
He noted that the talks will aim at reaching a common understanding that achieves the interests of the ‘two brotherly states and peoples’.
Ahmed Abu Zaid said that Minster Shoukry will receive his Turkish counterpart at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by extensive discussions in the presence of the delegations of the two countries, to be followed by a joint press conference.
