CAIRO – 15 March 2023: Police have arrested two men on accusations of stealing the house of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in New Cairo only two days after the theft was reported, the Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday.
Police also managed to seize the stolen items, including a number of sports shoes, a silver medal, a piece of crystal, and a number of TV receivers, according to the ministry.
The two men are residents of Ismailia governorate in northeastern Egypt and one of them worked previously as a security guard in the residential compound where the theft took place, the statement said.
The two men admitted the crime, the ministry affirmed. Police investigations found that the theft took place on 2 March.

Salah’s cousin reported the crime to the police two days ago, saying he found one of the house’s windows open and some items missing, including TV receivers.
