CAIRO – 7 March 2023: On the 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67) 1st day, Egypt, the United Nations Population Fund [UNFPA] and UNICEF held an event on the importance of investment frameworks for girls.
During the session, Dr. Maya Morsy, President of the National Council for Women [NCW], reviewed aspects of the partnership between the Egyptian government and the United Nations to support economic and social development efforts in Egypt, including through the " Noura and Doi” programs on empowering girls in Egypt.

Both programs are being implemented via an initiative under the auspices of Egypt’s First Lady Intisar Al-Sisi, in compatible with Egypt’s efforts to achieving the fifth goal of sustainable development goals.
The event witnessed wide participation from representatives of the member states of the United Nations, number of international development agencies, as well as representatives of many non-governmental organizations working in the field of empowering women and girls.
