CAIRO – 2 March 2023: Hot weather has continued across all areas nationwide during daytime. However, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects temperatures to decline slightly and gradually starting Friday.
The EMA expects dusty weather on Thursday in areas of Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Suez Canal cities, and North Sinai.
Temperatures in Greater Cairo and Alexandria have recorded highs of 32 and 27 respectively and have recorded highs of 24 in Matrouh in northwestern Egypt.
Upper Egypt's Minya and Assiut recorded highs of 30 while Luxor and Aswan recorded highs of 29 and 31 respectively.
In the Red Sea resort cities of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, temperatures reached 30 during daytime.
Over the coming week, the EMA expects hot weather in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northeastern coasts, South Sinai and southern Egypt during daytime.
Northwestern coasts will witness warm temperatures during daytime this week.
Weather, however, will be cold nationwide during nighttime.

- Cairo and Lower Egypt – Highs: 27 - Lows: 14
- Northern coasts – Highs: 25 – Lows: 15
- South Sinai – Highs: 30 – Lows: 17
- Northern Upper Egypt – Highs: 32 – Lows: 13
- Southern Upper Egypt – Highs: 34 – Lows: 15
