Australian ambassador lauds Egypt's efforts in fighting terrorism

CAIRO - 17 July 2017: Australian Ambassador in Cairo Neil Hawkins lauded on Monday Egypt's efforts in combating terrorism.

The ambassador's remarks came during a visit to Dar al Iftaa where he tackled with Egypt's Mufti Shawki Allam ways of boosting cooperation between Australia and Dar al Iftaa.

The Australian diplomat lauded the observatory of Dar al Iftaa, saying that he followed up what was issued by the observatory including reports and analyses.

Meantime, Allam asserted the importance of international cooperation to fight terrorism, noting that Egypt confronted terrorism intellectually.

The Mufti expressed Dar al Iftaa's readiness to provide all kinds of legal and scientific support to the Muslims in Australia.
