President Sisi holds two meetings to review industry developments

CAIRO – 8 February 2023: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el Gazar, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir, Commander of the Strategic Command Ahmed Khaled and Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Amir Sayyed Ahmed.

Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said the meeting comes in implementation of presidential directives to remove obstacles and challenges facing the industrial sector by promoting joint efforts of all state bodies.

President Sisi was briefed on the most important steps and measures that are being implemented in this regard, covering simplifying and automating bureaucratic proceedings to attract more industrial investments, facilitating measures for investors to obtain industrial licenses and activating the industrial investment map as a platform to allocate industrial lands nationwide.

 

Meeting with Madbouli and Samir, the president was posted on efforts to capitalize on the establishment of industrial complexes, in addition to the promotion of channels of communication with the industrial private sector to scale up industrial investments.

The spokesman said President Sisi directed to maintain efforts to expand ongoing industrial production tracks and set up new tracks and boost the role of the private sector to enhance national economy and attain development.
