2 Egyptians announced dead in deadly earthquake in Turkey

CAIRO - 8 February 2023: Two Egyptian victims were announced in Turkey, as a result of a deadly earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 that hit the state on Monday. 

The earthquake took place in Central Turkey and in Western Syria, leaving around 11,000 deaths, and more than 40,000 injuries.  

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Tuesday that two Egyptian victims have been found dead after the earthquake in Turkey.

The statement was given to the embassy by a family member who wasn’t affected by the earthquake.

The ministry was also able to communicate with the family members to provide the necessary support.
