CAIRO – 18 January 2023: Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani will visit Egypt for two days, starting Saturday, according to the Italian Nova Agency.
The announcement of Tajani’s visit came during a press conference with Italian businessmen in Tunisia, at the residence of the Italian ambassador, where Taiani said, “We are doing everything we can to bring back Italy's special influence.”
The Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, had affirmed Italy's keenness to strengthen the bonds of bilateral cooperation with Egypt, in a way that opens horizons for building and achieves the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Last November, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to Italy in a bilateral visit that aimed to support and enhance the Egyptian-Italian relations, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During his visit, Shoukry attended the 2022 Rome MED Mediterranean Dialogues.
