National Coalition for Civil Development Work launches ‘largest training platform’ for volunteers

CAIRO – 16 January 2023: Egypt’s National Coalition for Civil Development Work [NACDW] announced on Monday launching the largest training platform for the volunteers of the various coalition included within the Coalition with the aim of raising the capabilities of volunteer youth.

 

In a statement, the coalition stated that the ‘volunteer training platform’ and its extensive training courses will spread the values of volunteering as widely as possible to attract new youth and provide them with promising opportunities to serve their country.

The volunteered youth will also help at serving more than 30 million Egyptian citizens in accordance with the Coalition’s goals in facing the effects of the crushing global economic crisis that the world is experiencing.

 

The coalition also confirmed in its statement that the plan to invest the capabilities of its volunteers stems from the real achievements presented by the coalition volunteers during 2022, which were presented before president Abdel Fattah al Sisi at the first National Alliance conference.

The statement also revealed that the currant number of the volunteers in the coalition reaches nearly  251K young men and women, who spent a total of 39 million and 200 thousand working hours, which equals a total spending of  LE56 million.

 

On January 9, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) conference.

Sisi thanked workers at the National Alliance for Civil Development Work [NACDW] conference along with all civil organizations in Egypt.

During attending the NACDW conference, Sisi expressed his happiness with the examples that was presented for small projects in different governorates.

 

Sisi also urged Egyptians to listen to the government regarding all data and information especially economically.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said the alliance plays a pivotal role in the state's development process and supports social protection networks mechanisms.

The alliance is integrating its work with the efforts being exerted by the State and the private sector to realize social development and upgrade services, the spokesman added.

 

He said the alliance was launched in March 2022 with the participation of members of key development and civil work associations in Egypt to serve social development work.
